Meeting opened at with the Pledge, Rotary motto, prayer and lunch.

Don Hendricks reminded members that fruit orders are due today. Members who have not yet turned in their order should contact Bill Schaub by the end of the week. He will be sending the order in on November 30.

The Rotary Christmas outing at Pheasant Run has been scheduled for Thursday, December 20. Eleven people are planning to attend so far. Dinner will be at 6:00p.m. followed by the show at 8:00p.m. Don plans to finalize the reservation next week, so members who wish to attend should contact him before then.

A Christmas gift exchange is scheduled for the December 19 meeting. Purchase, wrap and bring a $20 gift to that meeting.

The ATHS choir will sing at the meeting on December 12.

Don Weiss has arranged for Representative Dennis Reboletti to be the speaker at the December 5 meeting.

Members are encouraged to keep selling car raffle tickets. The winner will be drawn on January 2. An ad for the car raffle will be included in the District newsletter.

Carolyn Boni introduced her guest, Cathy O'Leavy, who is the new branch manager at National Bank of Commerce on Lake Street . Janis Jordan introduced Lisa Zucchero, a 22-year employee of the Addison Park District.

Bob Smith introduced the speaker for the day, Keith Krasemann, a professor of philosophy at College of DuPage . Krasemann's topic was "Good Ethics is Good Business." He spoke about the need to focus on how business can be made better through 'doing good'. Ethics help people become excellent and a life which is lived excellently manifests itself in service. Krasemann spoke of the Rotary's 4-Way Test which is a good standard by which people can measure their lives and actions. He stressed that ethical leadership needs to be a priority in businesses in order for a business to be successful.

Village Tree Lighting is scheduled for Friday, November 30 at 6:30 p.m. The Rotary will be singing two Christmas songs with the Indian Trail Show Choir and the Kiwanis. There will be a practice at Indian Trail on Thursday, November 29.

Lisa Zucchero won the weekly raffle.
