Meeting opened at with the Pledge, Rotary motto, prayer and lunch.

Don Hendricks distributed sheet music to members who plan to participate in the Village Tree Lighting event that is scheduled for Friday, November 30 at 6:30 p.m. The Rotary will be singing two Christmas songs with the Indian Trail Show Choir and the Kiwanis. There will be a practice at Indian Trail on Thursday, November 29.

There will be a Rotary meeting on Wednesday, November 21.

There will be a Rotary Christmas outing at Pheasant Run. The cost for dinner and show on a Wednesday or Thursday evening is $49. The cost for a weekend event is $59. The club will probably offset $10 of the cost for each attendee. Don will look into booking a Thursday in December and will get further information to club members.

Tickets for the car raffle need to be sold! Bill Schaub shared a 2008 Malibu brochure that he had picked up from Sunrise . He encouraged members to distributed their test drive vouchers.

Members are encouraged to sell citrus fruit. Fruit will be sold for $27/carton. A mixed box of oranges and grapefruit costs $29. Gift boxes are also available for $15. Orders must be turned in by November 30. Fruit will be stored at MacGill with pick up dates of December 13 and 14.

Cal George announced that November 16 is the last day that the $100 early registration discount can be used for the spring conference.

Matt Delawder will take the car to Driscoll's playoff game on Saturday to sell raffle tickets.

Bill Schaub introduced the speaker, Nick Beazley. Nick represents Rivers of the World, a not for profit Christian ministry which serves people living in remote river basins. As an organization, they try to find people that no one else is helping. Nick shared information about Belize , where his work is concentrated. He showed a slide/video presentation showing a bike ride in he took across the country, in an attempt to get to know the people and area ROW serves better. Nick Beazley won the weekly raffle.
