Addison Rotary Meeting

October 17, 2007

Meeting opened at with the Pledge, Rotary motto, prayer and lunch.

Mayor's Ball - Raffle tickets must be sold and ticket stubs turned in by October 31. Auction items must be turned in by October 31.

Rotary/Kiwanis golf outing will be held at White Pines Wednesday, October 24 at noon. Rotary will have two foursomes, Kiwanis will have one.

Car lease raffle sales at the last Addison Trail football game on October 12 went well. Tickets will also be sold at the Driscoll game on October 20. Members will be assigned to go to other Rotary club meetings to sell raffle tickets there. Test drive vouchers were distributed.

Tony Cimino will represent the Rotary for Addison Trail's Presidential Classroom scholar program. AT staff and representatives from sponsoring organizations interview students to determine who will travel to Washington , D.C. to participate in the program.

Tom M. Thorfenson from Eden Prairie , MN , has been nominated as the new International President of Rotary.

Diane Junokas demonstrated the framework of the new Addison Rotary webpage. A website can be hosted for approximately $12/month. Diane will check with Rotary International to see if the site can be hosted through them. Suggestions for additional information were made. Currently the website can be accessed at www.asd4.org/rotary.

Raffle tickets were sold. Cal George won the weekly raffle.

The meeting adjourned at 1:05 p.m.
