Meeting opened with the Pledge, Rotary motto, prayer and luncheon. Don Hendricks thanked Mario Cesario for hosting the luncheon meeting at Mario's. The August 22 meeting will be held at Alta Villa

Addison is holding a Founder's Day Parade on October 7. Jim Krage offered his 1955 convertible for use by the Rotary. The club will consider coordinating a food drive with the parade. A motion was made to participate in the parade and to donate $100 to sponsor the Addison Trail High School Marching Band. Motion carried.

Chelle O'Connell won the TV that was raffled off at Community Days. Over $100 was made on tickets sold at the event.

Chelle shared information about the Park Ridge Rotary's Football Mania fundraiser.

Bobbie Jo DeFily introduced the speaker for the day, David McGowan, Du Page County Foundation. McGowan shared information about charitable giving in the US . He spoke of the need for contributions and the ways in which the Du Page County Foundation serves members of the community.

Car raffle tickets will be available next week. Each member will be asked to sell 30 tickets.

The Addison School District 4 Educational Foundation is hosting the Kelly Miller Circus for two performances on Tuesday, September 11. Circus tickets will be available for purchase next week.
