Addison Rotary Meeting

Meeting opened with the Pledge, Rotary motto, prayer and luncheon.

The Community Days sign-up sheet was passed around. Don Weiss issued VIP passes for Rotary members that will be working in the booth August 10-12.

Six people are signed up to attend the Arlington Park Rotary event on August 26.

The August 15 meeting will be held at Mario's on Lake Street - Bobbie DeFily is assigned to that meeting.

Raffle tickets were sold for the TV raffle and the weekly raffle.

Bill Schaub displayed the banner and signs that were designed to publicize the 2008 Malibu raffle. The banner, as well as vouchers for people who want obtain a raffle ticket by taking a test drive at Sunrise , will be displayed at the Community Days booth.

The Addison School District 4 Educational Foundation is hosting the Kelly Miller Circus for two performances on Tuesday, September 11. Rotary purchased 40 tickets for Lutherbrook students and 12 tickets for adult chaperones. Advance sale tickets are available from Don Hendricks--$5 for children ages 2-12, $9 for adults. Don distributed posters to Rotary members for display in their places of business.

The Park Lawn home in Oak Lawn thanked the Addison Rotary for the $250 contribution. Park Lawn is a facility for individuals who have developmental difficulties.

Tom Geraghty introduced his guest, Virgil Ossendorf.

Tony Cimino ordered new Rotary pins. He will order new club shirts, possibly long sleeved or sweaters. He could also acquire long or short sleeved denim shirts. A number of past presidents purchased blazer patches from Tony at the meeting.

Don Hendricks has two extra tickets for the Sister Cities cruise event on August 8. He offered those to anyone who would be interested in attending.
