Irene Boutzarelos spoke on behalf of the Addison Center for the Arts. The ACA supports the arts in Addison through its sponsorship of the Lyric Opera's Opera in the Neighborhood's program, concerts in the park, student art competitions and more.

The ACA is looking forward to opening an Academy which will include a studio theater, gallery, lobby and offices and will be housed in Addison Trail High School. Their capital campaign has a goal of $850,000--$700,000 of which has already been secured, thanks to the efforts of the Village of Addison, Representative Dennis Reboletti and Pampered Chef.

The ACA hopes to offer a wide variety of classes through the Academy--providing education and mentoring--by teaching art as well as the business of art. Boutzarelos distributed a class interest survey to Rotary members and asked them to fill them out and return them.
