The meeting opened with the Pledge, Rotary Motto, prayer and lunch.

Don Hendricks made the following announcements:

Mystery Dinner Theater event will be scheduled for Tuesday, May 27 at Alta Villa, 7:00pm dinner. The cost would be $45/person for the buffet dinner.

Saranus Griganavickus shared information about the newly formed Rotary Club of Chicagoland Lithuanians which will be having its club inauguration and charter night on June 6. The club meets on Thursdays at 5:00pm at Pappadeaux in Westmont . There are currently 20 attendees.

Bill Schaub introduced the guest speaker for the day, Rick Veenstra, DuPage County Assistant States Attorney. Rick shared information about the purpose and structure of the County's States Attorney Office. The Primary mission of the States Attorney is to seek justice in each individual case. The office focuses on the protection of the public and the well-being of victims of crime. Eighty attorneys serve in the three bureaus--Administration, Civil and Criminal. Education, crime prevention programs, nuisance abatement actions, anti-gang litigation and community and legislative affairs all fall junder the umbrella of the Civil Enforcement Division.

May 31 Salt Creek Clean Up Day begins at 8:00am. Volunteers are needed to work on this project with students from the ATHS Interact Club.
