Addison Rotary Meeting
April 9, 2008

The meeting opened with the Pledge, Rotary Motto, prayer and lunch.

Don Hendricks made the following announcements:
Addison 's Sister Cities Committee is hosting a fundraiser on April 15 at Nuovo Italia. $28 donation.

Rotary outing at Sox Park on Thursday, August 7. All profits go to Easter Seals School for Autism. Tickets cost $40. Our club will pay half of that.

June 11 joint meeting with the Kiwanis to be held at Alta Villa. Chris Kachiroubos, DuPage County Clerk, will be the speaker.

May 31 Creek Clean Up Day begins at 8:00am. Volunteers are needed to work on this project with students from the ATHS Interact Club. We hope to get signs from the state indicating that the creek has been cleaned by the Interact/Rotary Clubs.

Don Hendricks was unable to attend a Rotary meeting in Montreal , but he did visit a club in Florida

To hold a Mystery Dinner Theater event at Alta Villa, 25 people would need to be in attendance. This would be a social event, not a fundraiser. The majority of members felt that scheduling the dinner for a weekday evening would be most convenient.

The Senior Citizen Spring Breakfast, which is co-hosted by Rotary and Addison School District 4, is scheduled for Wednesday, April 23. Tom Geraghty , Tony Cimino , George Ellefsen , Cal George, Sohila Parsi , Cathy Olivi and Jim Gregorio volunteered to serve breakfast at 9:30am.

Volunteers are invited to help delivery dictionaries to the Addison 3 rd graders.

Ron Burns introduced the speaker, Joanne Larsen. She shared information about hypnosis and the positive life changes that can be brought about through the use of hypnosis.
