Leticia shared information about the DuPage County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce which was incorporated at the end of January, 2008. As a former resident of Addison and as a business owner in Addison , she recognized that many Hispanic businesses were not participating in ACCI meetings. The DuPage County Hispanic Chamber was organized to meet the different needs and to help to overcome the language barriers that can be an issue for Hispanic business owners. The Hispanic Chamber has held two meetings and has 16 members. The next meeting of the group will be held the 2 nd week of April. The organization plans to work to help kids by stressing the importance of education through mentoring and scholarship programs. They will be planning fundraisers and seeking corporate sponsorships to help the organization meet its goals. Anyone interested in participating in the Hispanic Chamber is welcome and encouraged to come to the April meeting.

Dr. Steve Humphrey from DuPage High School District 88 will be next week's speaker.

The meeting adjourned at 1:10p.m.
