Meeting opened at with Pledge, Rotary motto, prayer and lunch.

Don Hendricks introduced the following funding opportunities:

2 scholarships - one for $500 to an ATHS Interact Club member and one for $500 to a Dricoll student; $400 to Jorge DeLeon and $400 to Iridia Nevarez-Niewinski for their efforts working with the Interact Club; $250 donation to the Lutherbrook golf outing; and $400 to NEDSRA to be used for their beep baseball program. Tom Geraghty moved, Janis Jordan seconded the motion to approve the expenditures. Motion carried.

There will be a Rotary Recognition Night at Sox Park on 8-7-08. Tickets cost $40-the club will split the price with any members who wish to attend this event.

Tom Geraghty announced a Driscoll event at Wrigley Field on Wednesday, April 16. Anyone wishing to attend the game should contact Tom. Tickets are $5. Rotary members are responsible for their own transportation.

A Murder Mystery dinner was suggested as a potential fundraiser. The club may want to cosponsor the event with another organization, such as Kiwanis.

Ron Burns shared information about the Chicago Slaughter arena football club. Ron will poll Rotary club members to see if any would like to attend a game on April 25, May 9 or May 24.

Bob Watson has the speaker for the March 26 meeting. Steve Humphrey will speak at the April 2 meeting.

Janis Jordan reiterated that the Park District is open to providing land for the Rotary's Safety Village at Centennial Park .

Rotary members spent the rest of the meeting placing stickers in the front of dictionaries that were purchased for 3 rd grade students in District 4, St. Joseph and St. Philip.
