The meeting opened with “ America ”, the pledge, the 4-way test and prayer.

Cal George announced that Janis Jordan will be having surgery and will be unable to attend meetings for a while.

He also shared an invitation from Shelle O'Connell to attend an After Hours gathering at Bridgeway of Bensenville on March 12, 4-7:00 p.m.

Tom Geraghty announced that we have two CDs over $10,000. He suggested that we may want to cash one in and increase our level of donations made to projects. Gary Sinagra mentioned that Itasca Bank has a CD that allows two withdrawals a year. Don Hendricks made a motion that we cash one CD in when it comes to maturity and invest in an account that allows two withdrawals a year, if that is still available. Motion carried.

Lutherbrook's Golf Outing is June 15. Don Hendricks requested that we make a $500 sponsorship donation.

MCCD and Driscoll are holding golf outings on June 22. We will consider donations at a future meeting.

Don Weiss opened discussion about hosting a candidate luncheon on March 25. There are more than 30 candidates running for various offices, so it isn't practical to allow time for each of the candidates to give a formal speech. It was decided to invite candidates from the Village, Library, Fire District, Park District and School Districts 4 & 88 to come to a luncheon where they would visit informally/network with Rotary, Kiwanis and ACCI members over lunch. Presidents of the Rotary, Kiwanis and ACCI would be invited to speak briefly about each of their organizations.

Meeting was adjourned at 1:30.

After the meeting concluded, it was decided that the candidate luncheon should be held on Wednesday, April 1 to allow more time to issue invitations and get responses from guests.
