Addison Rotary Meeting Members present:
Guests: Geri Estvanik The meeting opened with America , the Pledge, 4-Way Test and invocation. Rotary will co-host a Candidates Luncheon in early March with the Kiwanis and the Addison Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Don Weiss will set up a date after all election paperwork has been filed by candidates at the end of January . Bill Schaub announced that all of the citrus fruit is gone. Cal George spoke about the membership drive We will hold a breakfast meeting as part of the membership drive, perhaps in early February. Leon Wilson, the Assistant Governor, will be the speaker. Janis Jordan shared that a Rotary Club she previously attended required their members to bring a guest once a month. If a guest wasn't brought, the member would be penalized. The member and an officer would follow-up with the visitor 10 days to two weeks later via phone or email. Another suggestion is that our club think of ways we can partner with Elmhurst or Oakbrook clubs for special events or when we have a special speaker. Cal 's program next week will include more discussion of ways in which we can build membership. Bob Smith asked if anyone would be interested in attending a Wolves game on February 20, when they will be holding a Rotary night. Tom Geraghty mailed out the quarterly bills today. Please pay them.
